Vesna joined the Department of Information Science as a Senior Lecturer in 2003. Her most recent experience and expertise are in the area of Augmented Reality and the integration of visual with sensory information for navigation purposes. She is also interested in researching into visual information retrieval and into data visualisation methodologies.

She is a member of the Geographic Information Science Group , currently leading the LOCUS project, as Co-Investigator, with Professor Jonathan Raper as Principal Investigator. The project has been awarded by EPSRC, through Pinpoint Faraday Partnership , as their flagship project, to research into the field of intelligent interfaces on mobile platforms, using Global Navigational Satellite Systems (GNSS) .

She teaches on the Information Systems and Technology MSc programme where she leads the Web Applications Development and Multimedia modules.
