I'm a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at the Centre for HCI Design, City University. I'm principally interested in information interaction - how to make computer-delivered information more accessible to users. My goal is to create technologies that connect the computer, human and the environment as seamlessly as possible.

ICADL Best Paper Award: a paper lead-authored by my RA, Tom Owen was awarded "Best Paper" at the International Conference on Asia-Pacific Digital Libraries. The full details are : Tom Owen, George Buchanan, Parisa Eslambolchilar, Fernando Loizides:"Supporting Early Document Navigation with Semantic Zooming", ICADL 2010: 168-178.
I recently presented a tutorial and two papers at the ACM/IEEE JCDL/ICADL digital libraries conferences, being held in Brisbane, June 2010. One of the papers is on the “Fused Library” — how to bring physical and digital documents together into one system.
More information will follow on my research shortly.
