| 18. Beijing, along lake Houhai by the residence of Soong Ching Ling - wife of Sun Yat-Sen once leader of the Nationalist Party (Guomindang). His brother in law was Chiang Kaishek leader of the Guomindang from 1925 and anti-communist who despite being supported from USA and USSR during the civil war after WWII ended, lost to the communists and retreated to Taiwan and died in the 90's. Soong Ching Ling, Sun Yat-Sen, the epitomy of chinese bourgeoisie are much loved by the Chinese Communist Party. Soong Ching Ling had survived the Cultural Revolution while Sun Yat-Sen got a monument in Tianamen Square. |
