PhD thesis - main volume PhD thesis - appendices |
These pages are provided as a digital appendix to the "Exploring mobile trajectories ..." PhD thesis. In addition to the full thesis text, they provide further information that it was not possible to include in the paper version. This includes animations of various prediction surfaces which provide a further insight into the characteristics of different approaches, beyond what statistical analysis can reveal. The full java documentation for the spatial history explorer API is also provided here for reference. In the second (paper) appendix to the thesis, summary documentation to some key classes was provided, however the full documentation would run to hundreds of pages if printed on paper, much of which is of limited relevance to the PhD research. This thesis was submitted on 14 Dec 2005, successfully defended in a viva voce examination on 20 Feb 2006, and the final version accepted in Mar 2006.
