About the course
Delivered by the internationally-renowned Centre for Software Reliability (CSR), this short one day course provides an overview of computer crimes and incidents, digital forensic tools and procedures available for proper incident response, relevant legislation and regulations, and the basic knowledge and skills required to detect incidents, investigate them, and mitigate their consequences.
This course is aimed at IT managers who require an overview of digital forensics but other staff such as HR managers, general managers and legal professionals can also benefit from attendance.
The course is prepared and taught by the Centre for Software Reliability (CSR), at City University London, which is recognised internationally as a centre for research excellence. The course leader is Dr. Andrey Povyakalo, a senior lecturer with many years of experience in the evaluation of computer based systems.
How you benefit
IT managers and other staff need to be able to detect incidents of computer crime, classify them and respond appropriately. Those attending the course will gain an awareness of digital forensic facilities and procedures that they can use to deal correctly with incidents of computer crime and misuse.
