I chose City University London to study MSc Health Informatics because it is renowned for having the longest standing health informatics course in Europe. The subjects that the programme provides met my need for enhancing my technical skills in informatics and developing the way I critically conceive the wider context and attention to detail. The tutors were extremely supportive, encouraging and inspiring. Having successfully completed this very challenging course, I have proven to myself that nothing is out of my reach.
Fadi El-Turk,
MSc Health Informatics, 2005 -
I have thoroughly enjoyed studying at CITY. My degree has expanded my horizons, and allowed me to acquire the skills and knowledge to be able to compete in a global marketplace. Within 2 weeks of finishing my degree I had an offer to join an international strategy consulting firm as a Healthcare IT analyst. I accepted and the combination of core informatics with business and management modules in my degree has proven invaluable for my career progression.
I am now regularly involved with the development, delivery and management of various projects in fields ranging from Healthcare IT to Medical Imaging and Patient Monitoring. I have had articles and quotes published in industry media, while I have been invited to present on major industry events such as MEDICA and WoHIT.
I have no doubt this would not be possible without a solid academic background in Healthcare Technologies, and I feel privileged to have been able to complete my studies at CITY.

MSc Healthcare Technologies, 2005 -
My time at City was one of the best years of my life. I was doing exactly what I want to do at the exact period of my professional career, studying for my MSc in Health Informatics.
I thoroughly enjoyed all my lectures and I gained wealth of knowledge I did not know existed out there.
The university atmosphere was relaxing and I was very comfortable studying with all the other students, in fact I made friends for life with some of them.
As I was sponsored by my Trust, doing this course has really enhanced my prospect within the organisation and have been promoted twice now since 2004.
I give God the glory for this opportunity given me to study at City University and for progress I continually made professionally ever since.

MSc Health Informatics, 2004 -
I have truly enjoyed my time on the course. The combination of health informatics modules together with the core informatics modules has provided me with the specialist health-related knowledge I need within the context of a wider understanding of basic informatics principles. The work has been intellectually challenging. The most important outcome of the course is that I now have the knowledge to be able to challenge any assumptions that either I, or others, may have. It is very empowering in the workplace.
